My Back Pain Gets Worse At Night – WHY?

You’ve had a long day at work or looking after the younger ones, and you finally begin to relax and have some time to yourself… then the back pain starts and gets worse as the evening wears on.

The biggest reason is simple, yet is actually surprising! Your body is never really at rest during the day while you’re working or out running errands.

So as the hours wear on, the muscles that have been doing the hard work become fatigued and sore culminating with a throbbing pain that can make your evening agony!

Another reason that’s closely related is that once your body ceases activity, muscles can become tense, joints are stiff and you feel as though you are “locked” into place.

This stiffness and aching can often be accompanied by cramping sensations and unimaginable pain as you try to settle down and sleep for the night.

A very important point to make is that when our bodies are alert we can process pain better and don’t feel it as much, but when our senses are dulled at night when we’re relaxed, the back pain worsens and become disruptive to your evening!

I cannot stress enough the importance of looking for signs that your back pain is worsening. It is crucial to take preventative steps to ensure that your pain does not become unbearable, especially at night.

Back pain can often intensify during the night, making it difficult to sleep and leading to further discomfort throughout the day.

By paying close attention to your body and taking proactive measures, you can take control of your pain and improve your quality of life.
